"getting pregnant"

Question
Can being excited affect whether fertilization takes place? As in like wanting to have a baby so bad.

Answer
Many things can affect fertility, and one thing that definitely seems to make someone less fertile is stress. Our minds have so much control over our bodies, that being stressed can make you less likely to conceive.

Being so excited about wanting a baby is fine, but it can definitely lead to more disappointment if you don't fall pregnant straight away. This, in turn, could lead to stress over whether or not you will be able to have a baby, which could definitely negatively affect your fertility.

So, yes, being very excited about wanting a baby could affect whether fertilization takes place if the excitement has turned to worry or stress.

It's best to try and stay positive. Be excited, but don't be too disappointed if you don't conceive straight away. Enjoy the time of trying for a baby and try to eliminate any unecessary causes for stress or worry. You are much more likely to fall pregnant if you are calm, relaxed and happy.

Thank you for your question, i hope my answer proves useful. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any more questions.

Kind regards
